Who We Are
We are a group of people dedicated to the service of Jesus. He is our Savior, our Lord, and our King. There is nothing special about us as people, but as the church we are the body of believers found in Jesus. We invite everyone to experience the joy in Christ that we share.
Where We Are From
The church that Jesus built was founded in the first century, not long after Jesus rose from the dead. Our local congregation, however, had humble beginnings when a group of believers in Rutherford County decided it was time to plant a congregation here. We started meeting in a storefront in Spindale in 2005, and moved to a storefront just north of Rutherfordton. Since 2013 we have been blessed with our own building off Hwy 221 just north of R-S Central High School.
Where We Are Headed
It is our ever-vigilant prayer that we are headed for a heavenly home with Jesus. Along the way, we want to help others get there. We are doing that through a robust overseas mission effort, while currently focusing more on local evangelism. Our mission is the same as Jesus’ — to seek and to save the lost. Along with this, we have a backpack program designed to help feed hungry children in our community and a program where some of our members construct teddy bears so that first responders may use them to comfort small children. We want to be the church that belongs to Christ by doing the work of Christ.
